Hi, I was wondering how you get your shirts or other fabrics that you are embroidering not to pucker? Sometimes squirting the applique with water (from your iron) and then ironing it will fuse the fabric. Several years ago, I bought multiple weights in whole rolls (not sure how many yards in each), and have used it for quite a while for everything! Use an Xacto knife* on asmall cutting mat* to remove inside parts that will get discarded. My machine now trims them for me! Iron over the applique. I would not recommend this for fabrics that cannot withstand at least 8 seconds of continuous iron heat. $175.69. I also use the commercial backing cutaway from Sewingmachine.com. You might notice the fabric is a little bubbled up. I thought the top stabilizer was needed to keep the stitches on top of the fabric. The easiest way is to print out the page on regular printer paper, put the Heatn Bond on top of it and trace the shapes. DO NOT attempt to sew through Ultra Heat' n'Bond. I have this and use it for other things but was a bit scared to try it in my embroidery machine. I normally use a top stabilizer, such as solvy, when doing a tshirt or a onesie. There are a lot of brands of sewable fusible adhesive for appliqu work, but Ive been using only Heatn Bond for years because it is excellent quality. You can also get Dreamweave by Floriani. It's important to make sure that the Heat'n Bond is perfectly flatand that you've secured ALL the edges smoothly.
